Have you ever wanted to blend your own gin? 

If so this is the School for you – at the end of the tutorial you will have created a 500ml bottle of your very own gin

The Fever Tree ‘House of Apothecary Gin School’

Working with the experts in all things gin and tonic, Fever Tree, this ‘Apothecary’ inspired Gin School will ensure you understand the true nature of botanicals and their properties and how to perfectly pair with the wonderful range of Fever-Tree tonics and mixers. This will to allow you to create the perfect gin for your perfect G&T, drawing out the natural elements that appeal most to you.  Before long, you’ll know your juniper berries from your orris root as you are guided through the floral, savoury, spiced or sweeter options for your recipe finishing by blending your very own bottle to take home. You will also pick up a vast range of general gin-knowledge along the way and learn a secret history to the spirit.

This hands-on experience is still perfect for people who’ve never queried anything more about their gin then if it is with ‘ice and a slice’, right through to passionate gin lovers interested in discovering the detail behind the blending craft of gin. Our blending expert tutors can adapt the session with each guest’s knowledge in this intimate group setting.

Dinner

Following your blending skills in the Gin School you will enjoy a celebration dinner at Granary Square Brasserie where you can toast your success over a three-course meal. You will have a choice of starters, mains and desserts all included within the ticket price.

Starters

Heirloom Tomato Salad
Olives, goat’s curd, sourdough croutons and baby basil
Seasonal Soup
Watercress soup, new potatoes and kiln-roast salmon
Bang Bang Chicken
Crispy chicken, peanut, cucumber, baby gem and radish salad, sweet chilli and peanut dressing

Mains

Roasted Butternut
Buckwheat, chickpea, pumpkin seeds and pomegranate  with crumbled feta, harissa sauce and coriander dressing
Wild Mushroom and Duck
Creamed mushroom and duck on toasted brioche, fried duck egg
Roast Hake
White bean and leek cassoulet, pork lardons and baby onions
Steak
Garlic Butter and thick cut Chips Chargrilled minute steak, garlic butter, thick cut chips and watercress

Desserts

Strawberry Panna Cotta
Set vanilla cream with strawberries
Barber’s Mature Cheddar
Aged Cheddar cheese, served with rye crackers, apple and celery
Vanilla Ice Cream
Served with warm salted caramel sauce
